California Catering Company started serving the San Diego Greater Area in 2000. Since then, we have developed strong relationships with many well known people. The heart of our company is within the KFMB studios located in Clairemont area of San DIego. Named the KFMB Bistro, this site serves the 200 employees at the KFMB stations Monday through Friday and is not open to the public. This has become our family where we have developed meaningful relationships. In addition, we have a full service lunch program located at La Jolla Country Day School and Mount Helix Academy
Our specialty has become lunch programs. We stumbled upon this special need when an opening occurred at La Jolla Country Day School. With one of the parents and one of our customers with CBS stations, we were we highly recommended. Now, four years later, we have made it our mission to provide healthy fresh meals to schools that have a need and want to create healthy eating habits that will last a lifetime.
Our kitchens for the lunch programs are either the site itself or the Swiss Park event hall.
California Catering has been creating beautiful buffets for many clients throughout San Diego. Sites that we have catered events at include:

California Catering Company is a corporation that was created by Tony and Callie Escobedo. It is also a family business which employs Tony's twin sister and brother, who both also grew up in the restaurant and catering business.
Tony Escobedo has been a chef for over 19 years. His current position at California Catering is Executive Chef of every event and school site. He apprenticed in the Bay Area learning excellent culinary skills at Soga's in Davis, California. Having grown up in the food business, Tony understands the foundations of the culinary world.
Callie Escobedo has studied nutrition and health and understands the importance of a balanced diet. She holds a Bachelor Degree of Science in Nursing. She is currently the Lunch Program Director of all school sites.
Larry Escobedo has designed many catering displays and has extensive experience in the management protocol of the food industry. Larry has extensive experience in the financial aspects as well. He was a Financial Advisor for over 10 years at a well known bank here in San Diego. He is currently the Assistant Lunch Program Director and Executive Sales Representative for California Catering.

California Catering Company paired up with a program here in San Diego to employ students under the age of 22 who are working towards earning their high school diploma but have moderate developmental or learning disabilities. The individuals with "special needs" are obtained and screened through a reputable high school work program. We are blessed to have these individuals working with us and blessed to assist them in obtaining job skills that they can take with them to a job once they graduate.
