  The first one is the lunch program. This account is for parents that do not want to spend excess amounts of money during the school year.  It covers lunch for all days of the week.  It is the most reasonable and gives them a balanced meal during the day. The pre-paid lunch program is for the lunch room only.  This includes the main entree and side dishes, unlimited access to the salad bar and a drink. This program is very cost effective and ends up saving  you money at the end of the year compared to what you may have spent with just paying cash.   Pre-paid students have priority to the meals served each day, which means that if we are noticing that our food is running low we will serve the students that are pre-paid first. In addition, pre-paid students do not wait in line very long to leave the lunch room. This year we are proud to announce that pizza day is included.

  The second one is the snack/lunch credit account and is an open account.  We require that the parent keep a credit card on file.  This account can be used for the cafeteria at lunch time, the snack window at milk break, and any other time they wish to use it.  The average student spends anywhere between $5 to $12 per day.  We do not monitor their diets or their spending.  This account is only for the parents that are not concerned with their child's spending.  We created this system for parents that requested it a couple years ago.  It is very popular and we have over 200 students that use this system.  However, it will end up costing you almost double by the end of the year as opposed to the lunch program. The snack area/lunch counter contains items such as protein bars, gourmet sandwiches, and fresh smoothies.  This account is excellent in minimizing the use of the vending machines.  The vending machines, which are not owned by the school or California Catering offers candy and caffeinated soda.

 Which one will work for you?  You decide.  They both have their advantages.

Yes, we require you to have a credit card on file for this service.  On the first of each month we will charge your card that is on file according to the history of lunch services from the previous month.  

Yes, if we receive your payment before the first of the month when all credit card payments are processed.

Until we know your child they will be asked to show their student ID.  We use the same servers as an opportunity to personally get to know your child.  

Lunch badges are not a requirement.  Students do not need a lunch badge to eat lunch. They were created a couple of years ago to help expedite the lunch line.  If your child is unable to locate it after a few days, simply email or call the cafeteria and we will track it down for them.   This system was created to speed up the serving process.  If your child is signed up for that day, we will know they are signed up after double checking the list.  Lunch tags are often misplaced at this age and are replaced only when we are notified.
